I think of carpool lanes similar to optical fiber (FAST) vs copper
cabling...

I often take the "fiber lane" when the other lanes back up, gets me to
my destination faster..... would not maind paying a reasonable express
fee..

have been pulled over many times for being in the fiber lane while
trying to navigate through traffic... not my fault that the freeway is
not mooving.... I often have a schedule I need to meet......

We ALL have schedules to meet. Why are you so special?

If you want to break the law and cheat, why not think
of a way so maybe you can get away with it .... like
put a dummy in the passenger seat to qualify for the
fast commuter lanes.

Or get a motorcycle - motorcycles with only one person riding *are* legal
with the car pool lanes in many states. Plus, they can be used for riding
the white lines through traffic jams - this is actually legal in some
states.

Optical fibres propagate signals at approximately the same speed at copper
(3x10^8m.s-1). It's the bandwidth capabilities that are different.

I bet you have an SUV, now don't you?!?
